Why buy linens made in France?
The Made in France movement is becoming more and more important in our daily lives: 64% of French people believe that they have increased their consumption of French products.
The advantages of buying Made in France products are numerous: the transportation of goods is greatly reduced, it allows to preserve jobs on the territory, to keep an incomparable know-how and to buy more environmentally friendly products.
At Alexandre Turpault, we are pushing the Made in France approach even further by setting ourselves the goal of producing less but better. Find out how.
BUYING LOCAL IS BUYING RESPONSIBLE
When you buy local, you are supporting the French economy and you contribute to the preservation of jobs. Moreover, you have the guarantee to have a product of a great quality because very resistant.
THE NORTH, A HISTORIC LAND FOR TEXTILES WITH LOCAL KNOW-HOW
A pioneer in weaving, the Hauts-de-France region is renowned for its textile know-how. Keeping our workshops in France is a challenge and a real desire to perpetuate the know-how, to pass it on to future generations.
We refuse to relocate our workshops, for the simple reason that we wish more than anything to preserve French know-how.
YOUR HEALTH, OUR PRIORITY
One of our goals is your health with linens that are more respectful of your skin. For example, linen is not washed but rinsed with clear water, without the addition of chemicals.
A SHORT CIRCUIT BETWEEN OUR WORKSHOPS AND YOU
Our workshops are located in the Vosges and in Hauts-de-France, only a few kilometers from our headquarters. This proximity allows us to be as close as possible to our employees and our customers, thus reducing our carbon footprint during the transportation of raw materials and the national delivery of finished products.
FROM THE RAW MATERIALS TO THE CLOTHING, EVERYTHING REMAINS FRENCH
Did you know that? Made in France, as its name indicates, means "Made in France" and that's where the subtlety lies... Here, at no time we speak of French production - understand "agriculture" -.
Because we want to offer you 100% French linen, our linen is grown on the coast of Northern France. Another advantage, and not the least, linen is an ecological plant because it requires little water. It presents other qualitative properties by being analergic and thermoregulatory.
Our manufacturing process has allowed us to obtain the label Origine France Garantie, which ensures the traceability of your product by giving a clear and objective indication of its origin. It is the only certification that attests to the French origin of a product.
NOUVELLE VAGUE, our bed linen set with 100% of linen has been awarded the label Origine France Garantie. With its new woody color, NOUVELLE VAGUE is easy to match with your interior. Soft and warm, this bedding will bring comfort and refinement to your bedroom.
PRODUCE LESS, BUT BETTER
We are thinking about new ranges of more responsible linen, for example by producing our articles in smaller quantities, while ensuring you a linen of great quality and more respectful of the environment.
PRODUCE IN SMALL QUANTITIES TO LIMIT UNSOLD GOODS
What usually happens to unsold goods? In most companies, they are destroyed. On our side, we make sure to control the quantities, even if it means launching a second production if the product is a great success. This management allows us to limit the number of unsold products, and for the last hardliners, we have found a solution...
UPCYCLING, OUR NEW ECOLOGICAL APPROACH
Our goal is to reduce our waste production. That's why we use upcycling in our workshops.
This technique allows us to reuse existing resources and fabric scraps and create a capsule product, by definition a product, in limited stock, that will have an ephemeral life.
For our first upcycled product, we propose VELIN, a cotton velvet cushion cover. Made in France and available in 3 colors (ivory, rust and praline), VELIN is available for a limited edition. With a simple and sophisticated style, this cushion cover will bring a touch of "Eco Chic" to your home.
A NEW, MORE ECOLOGICAL PACKAGING
Plastic packaging is nowadays more and more numerous and everyone knows that it is very polluting.
In this more ecological approach that we strive to establish, it was essential for us to offer you new packaging.
That's why our organic bedding sets go to zero plastic packaging. Our bed sheets and comforter covers are therefore packaged in bags made of the same fabric as your bedding.
You see? Buying French is much more than a way of consuming: it's a real state of mind.
